On October 30, six children arrived at Gillette Stadium by limousine: 16-year-old Fernely from Massachusetts; 12-year-old Christopher from Illinois; 15-year-old Domingo from New Jersey; and 18-year-old Melody, 18-year-old Michael, and 15-year-old James from New York.
Their day began at the Patriots Pro Shop, where the children received team memorabilia before heading to the field. Tom Brady and Wes Walker gave the children a warm welcome by posing for pictures and signing autographs. The kids even had the chance to try on a Super Bowl ring.
During the meet-and-greet, the children received a surprise visit from the entire team, along with owner Bob Kraft and coach Bill Belichick. The kids were ecstatic when Mr. Kraft invited them to play catch on the field. From there, the wish families enjoyed a luncheon at CBS Scene Restaurant and a tour of the Patriots Hall of Fame.
The following day, the children and their families returned to the stadium to watch the Pats take on the Vikings from lower bowl seats. The Patriots triumphed, jumping to first place in their division – and in the hearts of our wish children!
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island proudly assisted our sister organizations in Illinois, New Jersey, and New York to facilitate their children’s wishes.
