Golfers tee up for the 2012 Make-A-Wish Golf Classic

At a new venue under beautiful skies, thirty-four foursomes took to the course for the 2012 Make-A-Wish Golf Classic. The event was held on June 11 at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Massachusetts, and in addition to a great day of golf, included a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, and an awards dinner. Delicious samplings included a raw bar by Samuel's Sports Bar, lobster roll and roast beef sandwiches from The Federal, wine sampling courtesy of Panther Distributing, iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts, and mini dessert pastries from La Fiorentina Bakery.

 

During the awards dinner, wish recipient Colin shared the story of his wish trip to Alaska, calling it the "trip of a lifetime" and expressing appreciation for the Make-A-Wish community of supporters who made his wish experience possible. 

 

Congratulations to the 2012 Golf Committee, led by chairman Frank Crinella, Senior Vice President at TD Bank, for yet another fabulous tournament. The committee’s hard work resulted in over $70,000 in proceeds to help grant wishes for children in Western Massachusetts.
